CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Your bikinis and figure suits are 100% hand-made and considered delicate items, the rhinestones and many of the fabrics (specifically the holograms) will show wear much faster than most store bought swim suits. Extra care is needed when it comes to cleaning, handling, and storing; follow these instructions to prolong the lifespan of your suit. If there’s anything else you would like to know, please do not hesitate to email me.
IMPORTANT
Do NOT machine wash (even with delicate or hand-wash cycles)
Do NOT dry clean. The chemicals used break down the glue leaving your suit permanently damaged beyond repair.
Do NOT scrub or brush the outside of the suit especially on hologram fabrics.
Do NOT use any harsh cleaning product like any alcohol base to try to remove stubborn stains.
Do NOT soak your suit! Extensive soaking promotes fabric dyes to run and fade.
Do use a posing suit to practice to prolong the life of you suit.
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR SUIT
What you'll need
A 1/4 teaspoon of mild liquid detergent (we recommend Woolite Delicate).
We do not recommend power detergent as these can cause damage to the fabric and crystal work.
2 cups of lukewarm water.
A soft brush (like a cosmetic powder brush) to remove stains that are stuck in any of the small gaps between connectors or crystals.
A small wet cloth to wipe off the tan residue on the suit.
Good quality paper towel to pat and absorb the excess water after rinsing.
Cleaning instruction
Always wash ASAP and don't let the tan set/dry any longer than necessary.
Mix the recommended amount of liquid detergent and lukewarm water. You may need more detergent depending on amount of glue and tan residue on your suit.
Only clean the dirty spots! Be as gentle as you can! Clean the crystal parts with the brush and use the wet cloth to rub the tan residue on the inside of the suit. If necessary lightly brush "inside" of the suit with a toothbrush to remove glue and stubborn tanning stains that have settled into the suit liner. (You may find that the glue used on the crystals swells up and turns white after the suit is wet for a while. Do not panic and DO NOT try to remove it. Once it dries, it will look the same again).
With 5-6 layers of paper towels gently press down on the wet spots of the suit. Repeat as necessary before laying flat on top of layers of paper towel to dry or hang to dry over a sink or bathtub to prevent any dripping onto floor or counters – do NOT use heat.
